Aloha ‘Oe, Tumblr (for the time being).

Seeing as I haven’t been producing any artwork recently, I’ve allowed my brother to change the password of my Tumblr account so that I won’t be tempted to go on here compulsively. It’s been keeping me from living in the physical world, creating the illusion of being a recreational activity when in fact it’s been a vacuum of my time and mental energy. You can only “Like” so many nice pictures. If you know me personally, we’ll stay in contact through other means (not excluding Facebook). But now it’s time to go. So in the words of Hawaii’s last queen, Liliukalani, I say, “Farewell to thee…until we meet again."

At Last

After a month-long creative dry spell, I decided to try something new yesterday. I bought a pack of Moleskine journals, plopped down the couch and started drawing whatever came to mind. And, much like Stella, I got my groove back! The result was a character that bore a resemblance to my late grandfather, sans glasses, hearing aid and ubiquitous cigarette. For this reason, his name is written along the edge of the picture in dedication. Bonus points to anyone who can translate the katakana!

With the school year starting up again, I’ve realized that the gaps of time between the drawings I post are going to be getting longer. Still, I’d like to make some contribution to the Tumblr community every once in a while. So, for your enjoyment, I’ve compiled a playlist of some of my current favorite songs, spanning over a number of genres. Hopefully this will give you a chance to see what my musical tastes are like. Look At All The Fucks I Give

Pardon my profanity, but I was just looking at my last drawing and I would really love to turn it into a version of this meme! I mean, the facial expression’s right and the body language seems to speak for itself. So what do you guys think?

Please bear with me…

I must apologize for my recent lack of creative output. I have two unfinished works underway, one of which I hope to post within the next few days. Just thought I’d keep you guys updated. I’d hate for you to think that my blog has grown stagnant with disuse.

doowutjudelike asked: There you are, Nicholas Fiorentino!! I was looking for you on here ; )

And these are all fantastic!

Just keepin’ it formal, Jude. :) And thank you!

ica-dear-deactivated20111026 asked: Can I marry your artistic talent??

I don’t see why not. ;) Haha! Thanks, Ica! :D
